I’m only really familiar with a couple songs from defsharp but I enjoyed those songs enough to make me want to visit the rest of their work and check it out. This short EP has some pretty chill electronic music. While it wasn’t too crazy in my opinion I did enjoy it for the most part. I thought the first song was good but the transition was too harsh. Defsharp is one of my favorite artists and this EP encapsulates why I love his earlier work so much. Shapes/Lines is such a nice electronic project, and it did not have to go this fucking hard. The first track, "Term" is a masterpiece. Feels quite cinematic and has all these little intricacies, especially in the drop, like the grainy sound behind everything. This Defsharp EP is... fine. I was missing the indie rock/hyperpop sounds from infrequent flyers program, but this is just pretty basic EDM-adjacent electronic music. Nothing here really hooker me, but it wasn't hard to listen to and it's so short and inoffensive. Still I won't be revisiting it. Definitely underwhelming compared to some other Defsharp work.
