Icelandic composer Jófríður Ákadóttir’s latest album is generous, complex and alive with atmospheric textures and warm, reflective stories of love and loneliness.

Museum is a haunting affair, delicate and understated at all times yet bold enough to be decidedly impressive.

Spectrum Culture
Engaging Icelandic singer floats in a sea of sound creating gentle squalls impossible to resist.

Pitchfork
With patient songwriting and gentle arrangements, the Icelandic art-pop musician portrays seismic emotional transformations through resounding moments of stillness.

Beats Per Minute

Museum’s all too few moments of engaging material are disappointing though, even if you consider it a transitionary album. Too often it sounds hollow, unfinished, and wanting for any kind of colour to fill in the lines.

Sounds like a museum, feels like a museum, can get boring at times like a museum.

I'm a whore for art pop, so you better believe I was ready to hear this record, as well as being encapsulated by the very sleek and beautiful album cover. Firstly I’d like to state that this is without a doubt one of the most heart wrenching and beautiful albums ... read more

I'm constantly in awe of this album every time I revisit it - with its feeling of spring, its lightness underpinned with emotional weight, and its every track feeling as though you're quietly observing a painting or historic object behind glass. This is a truly special body of work that took many repeat ... read more

Fire. Absolutely gorgeous sounding album. Really liked JFDR's last studio lp, but this still probably tops that. I do have to say, though, no songs on this album were quite "My Work" level, at least on first listen.
