Although the album is a change from the tougher, more hardened fare that fans might expect, Bebe makes a stronger impression than its predecessors and has enough high points to further support Rexha's position as a masterful pop songwriter capable of churning out the hits. With Bebe, she comes another step closer to a fully realized vision that could pull her into her own true spotlight moment.

Pop singer Bebe Rexha’s Bebe sounds like she has thrown some caution to the wind and made music that she genuinely enjoys. It’s also fun to listen to.

Bebe is a genial, trite and innocuous listen, and hopefully, given time, the singer will be able to more convincingly develop her abilities and stake her claim to a variant of pop that doesn't begin from quite so generic a starting point.

Bebe Rexha is like a fictional popstar character you’d see a young adult Netflix show. Like these *sound* like real songs but they’re clearly not. These are obviously meant to barely audibly soundtrack the concert the main characters sneak out to see which inevitably leads to them learning the dangers of drug abuse, with the only note from the studio exec’s being “just make a few songs that sound like they’d fit on the radio, nothing crazy. I couldn't imagine releasing ANYTHING Disco oriented the same day as Jessie Ware.
Yeah, Bebe has been a crush of mine forever, but she definitely doesn't hold a place in my heart when it comes to any GOAT discussions. I also find it unfair to compare this to Jessie's "That! For listening to a Bebe Rexha album for the first time, I’ll admit, this was actually so much better than I hoped for it to be.
