over produced and doesn't stand a chance against their previous release

The band had a lot of promise and showed lots of consistency and innovation with their Widow EP. However, their debut album is full of overplayed nu-metal cliches and predictable song structures, along with some weird soundcloud-esque hip-hop tracks that stick out of the tracklist like a sore thumb. The riffs and vocals can be quite catchy, however is often left with a bittersweet taste due to the rapper's often annoying and very repetitive flow. It feels so dated and a recycling of its own ideas, like all the tracks feel the same over and over again, well except for those hip-hop tunes that just pop in your face and make it more confusing overall. I don't know, I thought that I'd like the approach but I feel like this was a phase of my youth that I've already moved on and buried deep.

Fav tracks: Nothing Within.
Least fav track: Cold Blooded.
