Having just seen them live for the 2nd time yesterday I implore anyone if you get the chance see this band, one of the best gigs you’ll ever attend
*Maruja complete discography deepdive (less than 45 total minutes lol)* [2/6] Rage - single
A huge step up from their first single. I mean, HUGE. This is absolutely fantastic, and having already heard everything else from them, I can safely say that this might very well be my favorite song by them (still very early into the band's career though lol). Maruja's early single “Rage” begins softly, with a hypnotic saxophone riff coasting along over a splashy ride cymbal groove. Eventually the spoken-word vocals escalate in intensity, leading into a sax solo. Then the song breaks down to almost nothing and begins the process of building back up again. By the end, the group are furiously embodying the song's title. It's a ride worth taking along with them.
