This is an album that covers quite a bit of ground. We have poppy tunes in "The Boy Girl Song", a bit of guitar shredding in "Call It Sleep", some acoustic mellowness in "Burning Down The Mountain", there's even a little bit of rap & roll in "Little Green Men". It's not that this album didn't know what it wanted to be, it was just Vai displaying some musical integrity.
