an incredibly solid first outing from the uniquely bizarre group that is midori. blends brash, hardcore punk writing with some jazzy, bumpier segments surprisingly seamlessly, which is just midori's thing. despite the very clearly present jazz elements, the abrasive, gritty sound and the loose vocal style 110% take the forefront, which makes the jazz implementation a whole hell of a lot more interesting, and overall it makes for a better project overall. it's a fun ride that will ... read more
