Cold feels like a more nihilistic take on what he's done with Sushi, with sampling and more autotune vocals. I think James Ferraro is sure precursor of many genres that got more popular in the 2010s, like his influence on Hypnagogic Pop or even some influence on Cloud Rap. cold feels like the culmination of everything he was trying to do with bebetune$, bodyguard, and sushi, but executed better. it truly is a cold album, with its metallic sounding instrumentals and his heavily auto-tuned crooning. this feels like something made to be experienced at night, a mixtape that shouldnt see the light of day. also i couldve sworn like 3 or 4 of these songs were also on suki girlz but maybe im imagining that
