This is the most exciting act in black metal and while Blackbraid I was a very good record, Blackbraid II tops it. With this record, Blackbraid sets the new standard for American black metal.
There truly are no dull moments or letdown tracks on Blackbraid II—The only slightly unimaginative thing is the title, and nothing else disappoints.
Blackbraid II isn’t revolutionary, but it’s yet another step in the evolution of one of black metal’s brightest stars.
A decent mbm record with some atmospheric elements as it incorporates some elements of traditional/indigenous music. The traditional music elements fit well when they're included which sadly doesn't happen all that often. I also can't justify the length of some songs, there's nothing really all that interesting going on - a shorter length could've been a more appropriate choice.
I appreciated Bathory cover, anyway. It's ok.

This is just such a beautiful black metal album with an amazing atmosphere. I love the Native American theme, one that you don't really see all that often. The folky atmospheric elements were great, I loved all the riffs and, though a little bit over an hour long, is engaging all the way through. Definitely had a fun time with this listen
