As a pre-release, this is definitely better than "Kitsch" but outside of that comparison, it's honestly pretty weak. IVE's songs are either simple but effective or simple but empty and "Either Way" is unfortunately the latter.
It's a very simple song with a minimalistic production in the verse that doesn't do much for it. When things get fuller in the chorus with the synth, we could expect the track to take an exciting turn but nothing happens. And where this could be a way to make their voices the main thing, here everything sort of falls flat. The ending is also very unsatisfying.
Minimalistic but so much emotion at the same time. Ever since it came out, I've always come back to this song once in a while because it feels so healing whenever I listen to it! I think that it was the MV that especially touched me and the aesthetic was so beautiful!
