It would take an exceptional talent to bring all of those unpromising ingredients together and produce anything other than utter dross. Needless to say, Beyoncé Knowles is just that. A guilty pleasure, but a pleasure nonetheless.

Beyoncé’s early career ballads were great, but this era is when she really stepped up her game. She is always outdoing herself and the only person who can compete with her work is her.
