most accessible mtb release by far. it's pretty good but lacks what makes other mtb releases hit so hard. doesn't relay that pure mania that makes me enjoy albums like "there's nothing new" so much. it feels more melancholic than manic, which makes it feel like less of a standout in comparison to the rest of the mtb discog. regardless, solid writing as well as some cool production. nice, short little ep.
The vocal production here is even less consistent than on the many tiny boxes LP, but the sampling is great. Many of the things I praised the many tiny boxes LP for can be applied here. Something I want to point out about this project is the mixing. I love that while this keeps up with the consistent themes of Many Tiny Boxes, this has a very clear different formula and punch to it. It sounds a lot more aquatic, some black sea vibes here. Fantastic EP being incredibly honest. A little mad I didn't visit this earlier.
