What turned out to be the band's last album before the group rather messily collapsed was, in essence, Cop Shoot Cop holding steady at what it does, almost.

'Release' would be the band's swan song and is considered by many to be their weakest offering; certainly it's another step closer to standard alt rock fare but the fascinating thing is it's a sound that fits the band like a glove.
To stand out within this genre you need a lead vocalist with some charisma, presence and bite: check; plus a top notch and wildly inventive rhythm section: check. The final part to seal the deal is the songs themselves and I feel the band really pull off this more ... read more
