Jon's baby-voice vocals are... terrifying? Unwarranted? Charming? Indigestable? Certainly, the album has cult potential in that it will never appeal to most people; and certainly, Smoke is utterly unique.

This made me so damn uncomfortable — I was eating dinner while listening to this and it genuinely made me lose my appetite. Jon's childlike voice accompanied by the squeaky, completely atonal pump organ creates the sonic equivalent of those disturbing kids' drawings.
