In leaning on cartoonish turns of phrase to highlight just how integral Trilogy’s influences are to its overall sound, I fear I may be at risk of dancing around precisely why this triple-EP is worth your time. Let’s bring it back to basics: put simply, Trilogy is a metric fuckton of fun.
I absolutely love the themes and vibes off of this. This guy knows how to set a stage and keep it going strong.
My only gripe is that a lot of the songs can get pretty repetitive and barebone at times, where he repeats the same melodies too much.
Overall, a great experience to listen to, especially in the background when playing a high paced videogame. It puts you in a great mood and leaves you tapping your foot.
OSR: Much of the time TRILOGY is an album better in the background than listened to actively, but that doesn’t make it a bad one.
