I had to give this a very high rating as this has become one of my favourite folk albums. In many ways because this is an example of what is likely my favourite folk sound. I would recommend this album for fellow fans of Renaissance, Harmonium, Loreena McKennitt, Baldur's Gate/The Witcher or just New Age music in general. I am surprised how much I enjoyed Feast On Scraps knowing this was just a collection of unreleased B-sides from Under Rug Swept. I would say I enjoy this about the same as that album. In particular I really dig the intense songs here that are Fear of Bliss, Sister Blister and Unprodigal Daughter. Even though Carpenter Brut is not metal I used to often put some of his songs like Roller Mobster and Turbo Killer in my loud metal playlists for good reason. I don't know how Carpenter Brut manages to make some of his synth music heavier than most metal music, but I really dig it. The title track Leather Teeth goes so hard on full volume and makes me want to start a moshpit in my living room with my furniture. Yes, I would look insane. I remember not caring all that much about Caravan's previous albums (I need to try them again), but this one really landed for me back then. And it still does.
