You know what, 2026 is gonna be the year where I stop pretending I don't like midwest emo, cause this was genuinely phenomenal.
I came into this expecting a pretty nice, relaxing little LP which was easy to listen to and didn't do all that much to impact me. These assumptions were made based on the album cover alone. From the very first track, I knew that this was something a lot more interesting than I could ever imagine. There is so much, and yet so little that can be said about ... read more
I had absolutely no expectations, and this still managed to exceed them.
I've never heard of Joost, and never heard any of his songs or even saw an album cover of his up until this year, as it was one of the earliest albums shown on the new releases page. From this album cover alone, I knew this would be interesting and probably pretty weird, and it was. There are a lot more positive things to say about this than I was expecting, though, and I am very glad I decided to give it a ... read more
Well, it was decent enough

From the album cover alone this looked like it would be interesting enough. From beginning to end, this EP maintained a pretty beautiful dreamy, whispy kind of atmosphere to it. It felt really well produced, and instrumentally speaking it was really nice on the ears with nothing doing too much, and everything flowing and meshing together ... read more
Another one to add to the collection of great albums in the first week of 2026

I don't listen to a super large amount of drone, but the stuff I do listen to I enjoy a lot, and this was no exception. It felt really familiar, but I can't quite remember what it reminded me of. Either way, I was really feeling like ... read more
