The first time I heard the outro instrumental to Pilgrims I felt like crying just because it was so damn beautiful. That song is just holy peak.

The rest of the album is beautiful as well. Not a single weak moment on the entire record.

It also baffles me how the beginning few minutes of the title track manages to be so atmospheric with such little instrumentation. This band just never fails to amaze me. Probably in the running for my favourite band of all time at this point

Sounds like magic.

Not a weak moment on the entire album. From banger after banger on side A to just a flawless and colourful medley.

My favourite Beatles album simply because unlike the other ones, this doesn't have that one odd out of place song dragging it down.

And I Want You (She's So Heavy) might be the greatest song ever.

The other two songs are really really good as well but the title track definitely carries

My first listen of this album was pretty much one of the best experiences I've ever had - I was laying in a dark room and the sounds of this album were making me feel like I was floating.

The album hasn't really taken me there since but it was still a nice experience - and this is still a great album. HV1 is one of my favourite albums of all time and this one moves away from the textural, atmospheric beauty of that album to more of a hard rock sound (still plenty psychedelic ... read more
