Hmm… this one hit pretty hard and that's enough for me, it really is. The abrasive riffs, the momentum this thing has is intense, it has a lot of noise and loads of energy in part from the band's performances and some genuine pain behind this music that served as fuel for them.
I always vibe with hardcore stuff like this "injury episode", so generally I found myself cool, almost satisfied with this thing.

What's expected from Neurosis in the great 26, atmospheric sludge at its peak. Everything is so heavy: the atmosphere, guitars with tons of weight and the percussion hitting very hard; it truly sounds like they're literally burning the world, very beautiful for the apocalypse.
An undying love for a burning 🥵 world was Neurosis being as heavy as they could have been, just what 26 needed, just the most typical thing of doom and sludge: the theme of destruction and 100% complete ... read more

Bitknot isn’t incredible in itself, but it ... read more
New comeback from Boards of Canada, who return to clean up this year with disturbing but good music in that sense.
Inferno as an album is somewhat dense and one of those that requires some patience or maybe you have to be in a “mood” for it to click, as is usually the case with many other IDM or ambient albums like this one, actually. The music sounds like it’s intended to scare (pretty spooky); I mean, you’re not supposed to be pleased with basic and easy to digest ... read more
