Back in 2013, right before being kicked from Slipknot, Joey revealed his new side project Scar The Martyr, and I was excited based on the single Blood Host. It was really heavy and groovy, while setting itself apart from Slipknot. It ran a bit too long, though, and that's pretty much my main gripe with that whole record, it's just entirely too long. Trim some of the fat and you've got a pretty great album, unfortunately, these lesser tracks do drag the score down a bit.
