Whether they were reneging on their original promise or just pulling the record buyer's leg is unknown, but the album's concept for the first time is much more interesting than the result.

everyday I beg Spotify to include some kind of liner notes feature because albums like this are just completely ruined without the context or idea being told to the listener, mind you, this album doesn't get better with context, it just explains why it sounds the way it does. for reference, this is apart of the increddibly average mole saga the residents did, the idea of this album is that the two factions "the moles" and "the chubs" came together to start a garage rock ... read more

This is probably the second worst Residents album I've personally heard, that being said I think a lot of people are being dramatic, it really isn't that bad. Now I'm not sure if it's amazing, but it is very listenable and I don't want to die hearing it. Crucify me.
