A legendary DSBM band is back with a brand new record called "Nightfloating". I always enjoyed listening to these guys, and while they were never my favorite band in the genre, I could always count on them to deliver some solid Depressive Black Metal. The title track begins with nice somber riffing, good pacing. I love the part halfway through that sounds of Katatonia's playbook. Nice track.
This Sickness Withered My Heart is definitely a bit more on their standard end. Not bad though, the 2nd half change up in this song is nice as well.
Drifting is a nice ambient track. A Chill You Can't Taint has fun guitar work, more akin to traditional heavy metal, love the soloing.

I used to know this band for their Depressive Black Metal genre. I hadn't listened to their recent albums for a few years. It seems that they have changed their genre to Melodic Black Metal. Their progress over the years is still noticeable. Especially, the solos in this album exceeded expectations.
