2 genres I use to hate was country and black metal for how hokey and ridiculous they were, but this year proved to me both genres have their golden stars and MVP’s, and wormwitch is among the better black metal I’ve heard this year. With their death n roll styled black metal, it this was fun to hear!
The mix here is god awful and not in a usual Black Metal way. Feels muffled and quiet which takes the fun out of it. On top of that it’s very generic and the album cover isn’t good enough to stare at. Not awful but not very good
