The band's sole full length album was, and is, a lost treasure -- though much about its production and general sound firmly places it as a product of the mid-'80s, it was still a stunning debut which covers any number of sounds and styles with aplomb.

What a strange and fascinating debut that mixes soul and reggae with electronic, pop rhythms under the auspices of 4AD.

The version of the album I'm reviewing includes MAD 509 (a mini-album attached to this album -CAD 509). It's how I've always listened to it, and most CD copies bundle it in anyways, so it's fair game.
Really fun album. I'm a big fan of "Punch" and "Maniac", and their cover of "You Keep Me Hangin On" is my preferred version of the song. There is a couple tracks I am a little confused by though. I'm not against "Edit ... read more
