Fast, percussive, and high-energy, Virtual Self defies expectations for someone whose main claim to fame was abandoning EDM for slower paced tracks.

Adopting a new alias, the EDM producer Porter Robinson sets aside Worlds’ electro-pop crossover and embraces early-2000s trance and video-game music.

Virtual Self sounds like music for "csgo 360 no scope montages from 2014" in the best way possible. Production is high level with wild drums and amazing synths, Porter Robinson creates with it a feeling of living in some type of simulation or unbelievable future.

Porters alias is not as good as his normal stuff, but it still is pretty good. The 90s aesthetic on here was pretty good, despite it being a bit generic on here a few times. I liked a lot of the production on here, even if its not nearly as good as Porters solo material. I still liked it tho, it was still really pleasant. Just nothing I would come back to tho. Also, EON BREAK is fucking awesome as shit, and is honestly up there with some of his best material.

So THIS is what Porter Robinson was doing during his hiatus. This is great! Reminds me of Armino.
