They're really at their top when they get gritty slow and weird like Human Terror, Object of Pain and the second half of Under Siege, can't say the same personally when they go dumb heavy-fast like most of Heaven's Gate, for example; feels like they're just trying to collect random metal genres as well with some sections within songs or short snippets — like Chamber with this rapping and nu-metal style —, which I thought was done without much coherence at this ... read more
This shit pretty heavy but id gone off with some more diversity there — as you do get a little numb after a while — and a not so loud kick, those bass stand were a tad strange as well; maybe slam got to be a mood I have to be in sometimes.
Love the random gory flicks here and there too, pretty gruesome; also goddamn what a great pan snare they got being destroyed occasionally
Going into this with the mindset of a traditional stoner metal sound is a terrible thing to do, drumming is great though, even if the songs beat around and never do much with all the ideas there
