The sleasy, mellow attitude is carried over from 2013's Nexus, but Young Echo's self titled record is a lot more harrowing in nature. The production is still reqlly out there, pulling from even more genres this time around. The rapping is dull and lifeless, perfectly matching the overall atmosphere of the record. One of the most frustrating albums to listen to. The group has loads of potential and I love the unique glitched out and trip hop atmosphere they create. The production is very unique and it's clear that the group is still in the process of development. My one complaint is that this was loaded with way too much material that felt like demos and nothing else.
