Although he’s a solid rapper, Nostalgic 64 mostly rides on the shoulders of great production. The bassy beats fit like a glove with Denzel’s brash personality, but at the same time they tend to steal the show.

You might not be blown away by the album, but Prodigy and Alchemist have put together a highly enjoyable album.

It’s probably easier to appreciate Leanin’ on Slick if you’re older or a die-hard fan of Aceylone, but it’s probably not a great album no matter what angle you’re listening from.
