I Might Be Wrong is still a fairly impressive recreation of the Radiohead live experience, even if it only includes songs from the the fantastic Kid A and the vaguely disappointing Amnesiac.
The Strokes aren’t bad, it’s just hard to see what all the fuss is about. They’ve got some decent licks and are probably a good live act. On CD, however, they’re not all that distinguishable.
Rings Around the World, their fifth album, doesn’t really do anything to advance the band’s sound the way previous albums have, but it is still an hour of cheeky fun.
On one level, Simple Things is a great CD to simply sit back, relax and literary chill-out to, like on “In the Waiting Line” and “Destiny.” On the other hand, it sometimes gets dangerously close to coming off as average R&B, like on the title track.
Since I Left You is a highly enjoyable concoction.
