Radiohead - I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings
Under the Radar
80

I Might Be Wrong is still a fairly impressive recreation of the Radiohead live experience, even if it only includes songs from the the fantastic Kid A and the vaguely disappointing Amnesiac.

The Strokes - Is This It
Under the Radar
50

The Strokes aren’t bad, it’s just hard to see what all the fuss is about. They’ve got some decent licks and are probably a good live act. On CD, however, they’re not all that distinguishable.

Super Furry Animals - Rings Around The World
Under the Radar
70

Rings Around the World, their fifth album, doesn’t really do anything to advance the band’s sound the way previous albums have, but it is still an hour of cheeky fun.

Zero 7 - Simple Things
Under the Radar
70

On one level, Simple Things is a great CD to simply sit back, relax and literary chill-out to, like on “In the Waiting Line” and “Destiny.” On the other hand, it sometimes gets dangerously close to coming off as average R&B, like on the title track.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - B.R.M.C.
Under the Radar
90
This album may have been out awhile, but it still stands out as one of the most exciting debuts of 2001.
The Avalanches - Since I Left You
Under the Radar
80

Since I Left You is a highly enjoyable concoction.
