The album’s guests are a nice touch, but Pusha still finds the space to shine in his own accord as well. The GemStar razor, baking soda, mason jar, dinner plate and cocaine never left the kitchen and, while it may seem that the brick isn’t as pure as it could be, the end result is just as potent as its ever been.
Perhaps James is saving the hot and spicy stuff for the major label album as “10 Pc. Mild” comes off just a little bit bland with an aftertaste.
While not as addictive as crack or as damaging as meth, Trinidad James is a drug you might find yourself indulging in from time to time, just because but nothing more than that.
Call me crazy, but I don’t think this G will be anywhere near the bottom for a time to come.
Coming in at just under 50 minutes, I think that most listeners won’t have a problem staying tuned into the music this time around.
When paying close attention to the lyrics, the narrative is quite vivid here and probably happens much more often than any of us even know. RIP Julius.
In any situation, the “Eternal” album has proven to be just that, eternal.
40 Water’s tried and true fast-but-enunciated flow is all over this extended play, and while some may argue that his popularity has waned some, he’s still out here doing his thing.
