20+ track albums don’t work anymore. There’s no real writing being presented here, but that’s expected from a Ski project. The flows are immaculate and Ski actually experiments with some different sounds here. But Members Only and all XXXTentacion affiliates need to let him rest, they’re obsessed with having him on tracks post-humous and it’s annoying. An album that does ? justice is overdue and although this album is decent this is NOT it. Okay effort.
It’s okay. Not the band’s greatest effort but it’ll do for now and will probably age decently. Vessel still remains their best album over a decade later. It’s a very listenable album and has lots of replay-ability. It’s not my personal favorite at all, though, you’d never see this on a playlist of mine. There’s so much better from TØP out there.
I might be overrating this album, but I could care less, the least this album could get is an 88 in my opinion. This album is basically a masterpiece, with VERY minimal mixing issues, the best writing and themes in a Conscious Hip Hop Album this year, and the some of the best usage of samples and skits. This Friday (my birthday!) marks the 5 year anniversary of Atlanta Millionaires Club. This album is great, from songs like Jonny and Kingston to the final track/skit. This album is one of favorite indie pop albums of the past decade. It’s insane how Faye was never able to top this, though.
