the soundscapes were nice but no songs felt truly special other than 'Deep Time' and 'You Retreat in Time and Space'.
overall just felt super repetitive and bloated. I can def respect the smooth transitions though. This is a quality record, but its just not for me sadly.
iceman was a good album, but what the fuck is this. actually worse than vultures 2
This grew to become my favourite Tame Impala album. Not a single miss, and so much emotion.
HUGE potential with these tracks, which is why I'm so thankful Woman Worldwide exists, like the production on this album just sounds flat at times, so pretty much every song on this album just has a much better version on WWW, so there's not much reason to come back to this release in all honesty, except for some standout tracks like Chorus, Close Call, and Pleasure (which have amazing versions in WWW, but are vastly different there and sound great on both albums).

The song choices are baffling but fortnite does have some unironically good tunes, but like.. Come on.
Not including the actual OG theme is insane, no coral chorus either.
Also used the wrong version of 'The End' (this song is deadass a masterpiece idgaf) using the Lobby version instead of the much better and much more cinematic event version.
The End is like a 9.5/10 track while the rest of these songs can go fuck themselves honestly. 4/10.
Album was about what I expected, very nice house/disco. will end up being a classic im sure.
Best songs: End of Summer, Piece of Heaven, No Reply, Dracula, Afterthought, Ethereal Connection.
intro track was interesting i suppose but the rest is just uninspired and generic
Amazing. COMPAKT really finds his groove in "REACH", a genuine must listen electronic album that is so consistent, and so enjoyable. "Acceleration" and "Limit" have become some of my favourite electronic songs ever. For being so early on in the COMPAKT discography, it's actually insane how good this is.
Ages is where our beloved cherub Mr COMPAKT gets his start. And It's honestly a rather enjoyable showing for a debut project for someone with not much experience. Intro is a fine opener with intresting synth work throughout, Sound Machine is a staple COMPAKT banger and Cascade is a genuine masterpiece, honestly an outlier here in terms of sheer quality, an actual adventure of a song. Demo Disk is a fine closer, nothing too special but it does sort of tie into an issue I have with this ... read more
