Really phenomenal album, feels incredibly atmospheric and comes from the transition from the darker gothic sound of the 80s into some lighter, alternative pop moments that feel indicative of the musical exploration of shoegaze and dream pop of the 90s
Fell a bit flat in the second half but packed with highlights interspersed throughout. More insects still my favourite song
Arrestingly beautiful, seamlessly merges inspiration from jazz, soul and r and b to form a gorgeous listening experience
Like a stripped back branch of the flourishing british chamber rock/post punk scene, really lovely stuff
Fav songs: I wear a shirt.., higher taste, unleonard
