this is such a good album I just wish louis cole didn't lean into the lofi vibe as much mastering wise...
it's so funny how divisive this record seems to be, some people love Wet Indiez, some think it's the worst French House tune to ever exist. I'm personally on the side that loves it, I think the sample is incredible and groovy and if you look past the obviously cheesy vocals, this is such a groovy little uplifting tune. I love it
G.M.F on the other hand..... my god those vocals are so annoying, the sample chop is alright but it drags on for too long, overall not an enjoyable experience. Maybe ... read more
This is the peak of the nightcore scene. Hit after hit after hit
This album is like asmr but with synths, just a bunch of fun noises in cool patterns
Despite this album's mediocre production, it made me feel things. A lot of things. And that's what music is about... Making you feel things. And this album did a pretty fucking good job at it. Honestly I think the mediocre production even elevated the sincerity of those feelings. I love the imperfections this album has, it makes it feel very genuine in a similar way that Car Seat Headrest's early works would.
Great album, would recommend
"DROWN HER IN MY TITS DROWN HER IN MY TITS DROWN HER IN MY TITS DROWN HER IN MY TITS"
- GFOTY
Is it the same song over and over again? Yes
Did I still eat it up? Absolutely
Man Down is straight up one of the best Eden songs ever. the dynamic contrast between that quiet ass guitar intro and the loud ass synth drop hits DIFFERENT
EDEN peaked with this EP I'm afraid. Very nostalgic to me, sounds a little dated nowadays but it still has that certain vibe that I always loved about it. Maybe it's not even a bad thing that it sounds a little dated.
Something About Maggie is genuinely one of the worst songs I've ever heard and I listened to the full 19 minutes of The Gerogerigegege - Showa Pt.1. It somehow made cringe less than that song. idk how that's possible, but it somehow happened.
Can Brendon Urie please stop yelling at me??????
if you ignore Providence, this album is actually insanely fucking good. did not age the tiniest bit.
Favourites: Fallen Angel, Starless
I stumbled upon this album by accident through spotify's algorithm, it just started playing the song "Happy End" after something else I was listening to and I was immediately amazed by what I heard. The combination of soft, ethereal female vocals over banging math rock grooves was something I was not expecting to enjoy this much, but it somehow works incredibly well. Immediately had to check out the full album and I was not disappointed. Great album.
