Bad. Sooo many iconic bangers on this one, smooth criminal, man in the mirror, dirty Diana, and off course. Bad.
But unfortunately there are a few tracks that I “dislike” on this one. On his previous two records, off the wall and thriller, I did not experience this. So honestly I was quite surprised to dislike not one but two Michael Jackson songs.
And that is mainly the reason that this is not in a 90+ rating. The songs in question happen to be speed demon and Liberian girl, I also ... read more
Do you wonder what came before the best selling album oat? Here it is, Off the wall, The start of Michael Jackson. Michael’s first solo album where he was in control, the first album with producer Quincy Jones.
Off the wall is the cornerstone of 70s disco pop music, and what a record it is. This album is gonna make you dance, like it or not, and that groovy and dancy vibe is the overall feeling of the album.

The Aussie manages to check all the boxes of what an album should contain. The groovy and classy music is supported by Matt Corby’s soulful voice. The end result is an absolute world class album.
The feelings this record gives are mainly joyful.
The lyrics are very honest and open, and with the rasp in Matt’s voice, the result is pure beautiful magic.
I love a lot about this ... read more
