this album is fantastic, lorde really took the sound she established on her debut and revitalized it and maximized it. this is gonna be my top album of 2025 & will be streamed on 186362826 times up to virgin’s release (l5)
i wanna make an nword joke bc as a black girl it’s funny as hell seeing an asain girl sing the word with such power, cadence, and ease but i forgot 2on lyrics sosvsgsvsg
ranking blackpink girls’ debut albums: lisa “Alter Ego”
“go girl! give us nothing!” is the only way I can describe this album being nice, it’s mid, and it’s not a record that I want to come back too, and honestly i didn’t wanna finish it. it’s all over the place, the ... read more

shygirl’s 4th ep seems to be a sequal of some sorts to her 2024 ep of the same name, and unfortunately for me it didn’t hit like i hoped. ive enjoyed shy’s jump to a more pop foward sound, but with this ep however shygirl doesn’t seem to be putting forth as much effort as she usually does. this ep honestly just felt like she took some scraps she had, “repurposed” them and slapped them on an ep and is marketing it as a ... read more

yes i did reference jaime lee curtis, but anyway oklou!
oklou’s debut record “choke enough” feels like her 4th with how realized it is, the chill trance sound reminding of eusexua but more.. well.. chill..the dancier tracks still feel like goa-trance hypnotic bops, elevated by lou’s intoxicating autotuned vocals, sound dark & sweet at the same time.
also the obvious mv is a very fun reaction video
come tickle my love
in my effort in finding my absolute fav album of the year, we come across “11:11” and Biig as a whole, this album is sugary, sweet and pillow, soft alt pop With decent enough writing, dance pop that gets you moving enough, and standard production that doesn’t stand out almost at all. it’s a good record with very good high points and a handful of forgettable.
how to get dragged: this
ok so, i needed more albums to review that i actually wanted to listen to, this is one of those albums, however “louder please” left me bored out of my mind, and for a dance album that is NOT good. it just doesn’t stand out to my ears, obviously it’s well produced and performed but that lyrics and sonic direction of many of these songs don’t give what is needed for me. it’s passable, this is the “secret of us” of dance, ... read more
honestly, i thought i loved this deluxe more than i did, i think the extended intro kinda fucked it up, as it’s really bad, but the rest of “brighter days ahead” is quite great! i just hope we get ag8 at a reasonable time

holy fucking friday
rebecca black is widely known for her massive(ly annoying) 2011 hit, “Friday”, basically setting her up for failure and causing widespread hatred and scrutiny to rebecca & an inability for the general public to take her music seriously, and though she can sing and has had a few eps and a debut record under her belt, all decent enough, black came in SWINGING with “SALVATION”, a fantastic edition to the hi-nRG/hyper/electropop renaissance of last ... read more
