I'm chasing the ghost of their old sound, they've established a new sparkly snythpop driven sound, and stoked to see some people latching onto it but its so deeply fucking lame to me. Taking the most cliched parts of their sound and amplifying it, plus bringing focus to what has always been their weakest point, their lyrical content which has always been utterly vague, and as such it was absolutely pointless to bring more attention to, the only reason their sound had worked well in the past was due to more articulate guitar work that drowned out the dull chunks of their sound and what I thought was an understanding of Harry's voice and not his words that everyone was drawn to. Just sounds like a poor mans Editors now. ugh
