Ehh I don’t really get it. The beats are cool sometimes but this doesn’t sound like much special to me. Charli sounds really awkward at some parts with the autotune and awkward bars. I think electro pop just isn’t for me.
I like him as a feature, but Don Toliver as a solo artist never impresses me for some reason. I’ve listened to three of his albums and cannot remember a single song on any of them. I think his sound is just too derivative of other artists. It always ends up being un memorable and boring for me.
How does this guy have 36 MILLION Spotify listeners?? He might be the most flat and boring mainstream rapper of all time. I couldn't name a memorable bar from him if my life depended on it.
This is the only song I have ever listened to that dropped from like an 8 to a 3 after I listened to it more than twice. I'm dead serious too lol. It sounded amazing the first couple of times I heard it, and then immediately became annoying and grating to my ears every time I heard it after that. It truly is a TikTok song in that it slaps initially and becomes stale so damn fast.
Should be a lot better than it is given the gap of time between this and WLR. Too many half-baked songs that start up and then don't go anywhere. You could cut off like 10 tracks from the album and the listening experience would be exactly the same if not better. Even the songs that I do enjoy don't live up to their full potential.
This album in a live concert is a 10 but is kind of boring and annoying to sit through on its own.
Not completely terrible but most of the tracks are generic and not memorable at all. The album sounds okay as background music but is not worth actively listening to. Between both editions of JACKBOYS, the aesthetic of it is honestly more interesting than the actual music that accompanies it.
A lot of the lyrics are a bit cheesy but the whole album is fun to listen to and there are some pretty well-written songs. I'm surprised how much I enjoy this.
Not my favorite but it's entertaining and feels more like a bonus set of tracks than anything. The fact that he dropped it in the MIDDLE of the Chromakopia tour is awesome.
Came out of retirement to rate this and comment how impressed I am by the continuous evolution of Billie (and Finneas's) sound. In terms of detailed and creative production, she remains on a tier of her own in pop music. Lyrically it's good but nothing crazy. Anyways, the album is awesome.
Freddie Gibbs is pretty nice. Wish I had discovered his music sooner
Not exactly sure what this is but I'm kind of rocking with it. I love how pretty and rich it sounds if nothing else.
The beats range from lousy to mediocre, and a half-decent rapper could have made an okay album with these beats. But wow Tom MacDonald CANNOT rap. 💀💀 This is the first time I’ve heard his music and he really does suck. The album is sooooo boring and every song sounds like a worse version of music made by another rapper.
Listened to this because Sarah Kinsley will be at a festival I’m going to soon but I dunno, not really feeling it. Production is ambient and pretty, but is still very derivative of basic pop music. I’m also not a huge fan of her voice on first listen. I like Lovegod though. Maybe I’ll change my mind about the project as a whole if I hear some of her songs live.
Logic's best project. Excellent instrumentals, quality rapping, memorable skits. Delivers an inspiring, hopeful message in a very creative way.
Ehh. Outside of some cool melodies and samples(?), a very average trap album. Repetitive drum and 808 programming that stays the same throughout the album and gets boring really fast. The same triplet flow for almost all of Uzi's rapping. Far too many cliche bars. Becomes easy to begin tuning out halfway through the album without even trying.
This album is so enchanting. It’s hard to explain. Just listen to it yourself.
I find Stranger in the Alps a little too quiet and slow overall for my liking, but Punisher has just the right amount of balance. It’s only a 41 minute album, but it feels much longer when you listen to it. Most of the runtime is filled with ambient, muted drums and guitars, topped with twinkling melodies and Phoebe’s beautiful voice piercing through all of it. The songwriting, which covers a wide ... read more
