Notes On A Conditional Form

"Do you wanna leave at the same time?"

I spent a long time sporting this as the pinnacle of The 1975, proclaiming that this is an underrated masterpiece. It's not quite. It's rough around the edges and definitely could've used some editing, I think about half of these tracks could be removed and the experience would be better for it. The highlights are high, with "People", "Frail State", "Too Shy", with my personal favourites including "Then Because She Goes" and "Bagsy".

There is so much that blends together here though, which makes the full listen a bit sluggish. On a whole, too much here doesn't justify its own existence, and while it may be a bit of fun, it makes for a fairly poor standalone album, in retrospect.
