Patricia Taxxon - Victory Lap

Victory Lap is about as good as a "Punk" sequel ever could have been. It's doesn't have as powerful of a message, as bold of experimentation, or as strong of cohesion, but it's still incredibly well put together and enjoyable. "Hello, I Ruined Music" and "Who is He" are 2 of the best songs Taxxon has put out this year, and that's saying a lot seeing that he just put out "Sixteen Sketchbooks Ago".

Patricia Taxxon - Wavetable

So far the weakest of Taxxon's 2019 output, but the fact that it's only an EP means that it doesn't overstay its welcome.

Best Track(s): Ordeal Day, Metalworks
Worst Track: Riot

Damon Albarn - Everyday Robots

This is definitely one of the better things Damon Albarn has done since "Plastic Beach". It's drenched in sentimental, dark melancholy from start to finish, and the electrofolk aesthetic makes it stand out in Albarn's discography.

Worst Track: Mr. Tembo

The Good, the Bad & the Queen - Merrie Land

A good concept and solid lyricism can't quite save a dull aesthetic. Every track on this album sounds almost identical with a few stand out exceptions. It's not necessarily a bad album, but it's a far cry from it's predecessor.

Worst Track: Nineteen Seventeen

The Good, the Bad & the Queen - The Good, the Bad & the Queen

A band of incredibly talented musicians? Check.
God tier lyricism from one of the best song writers of the 21st century? Check.
Production by Danger Mouse in his prime? Check.
This is by far the best thing Damon albarn has ever made, and that's saying a lot. Every track is flawless, and the entire thing flows together incredibly well. The tile track is one of the most satisfying closers to an album I've ever heard.
