Failure - Fantastic Planet
89

When I hear “post grunge” it becomes hard to not think of alcoholic balding father music such as the foo fighters or nickelback. However this album might be the greatest thing to come from the post grunge era of rock music. Many tracks are instant classics and cover themes I quite enjoy, it challenges you as a listener at times however if you accept such a challenge you will be rewarded

Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)
99

You hate weezer because you haven’t been In the trenches and it really shows

Sleep Token - Take Me Back to Eden
30

Over the course of 3 or so years I’ve given this garbage many chances to be enjoyable and after fully listening to this affront to all genres sleep token incorporates into their style of music. I can confidently say that I’d rather be waterboarded than ever give this album a chance again, while I will admit that I enjoyed the summoning and vore, everything else besides that is mid fluff that while in concept is interesting, it is terrible in any practice. Don’t waste your time

American Football - American Football
80

While not perfect, American football’s first self titled is an amazing album, it tells a story many can relate to and also just sounds good, not relying too much on any gimmicks or anything. I also enjoyed the use of horns which I think emo needs more of.

Slipknot - Iowa
46

One of the most bland heavy metal albums I have ever listened to, I can’t name a single track I didn’t get genuinely tired of after my third listen, this album is truly overrated as all hell, I do not see myself revisiting this at any time soon
