By far the most overrated album this year (and Hit Me Hard and Soft came out this year)
Terrible dance music. End of Katy’s career, no rebounding from quite possibly the worst 3 album run in music history by a major artist.
Zach Bryan’s best album, but still struggles with monotony and desperately needs a collaborator.
The Tortured Poets Department enters as one of Taylor’s most confessional and honest albums incorporating humor, and mental health elements to create an extremely strong, cohesive record.
The record opens with the lead single, Fortnight (ft Post Malone). Perhaps the greatest grower on this record, Fortnight’s slow build into its glorious outro is a high point on an album with many high points. The title track follows and adds a similar build into another fabulous outro.

Golden Hour has set the standard way too high for this woman. What a disappointment, definitely her Solar Power.
The song was on the right track at the beginning and then by the time the chorus hit the second time, it just fell off the rails.
Solid through, and through. Certainly a step up from 001, and God I’m so excited for her to make an album at some point.
Just for You’re Losing Me:
The track is easily the best track on Midnights and was what Taylor had promised Midnights would be from the beginning, and while Midnights was a slight disappointment in regards to how it was marketed vs actually released, this song would’ve been perfect. If Midnights had been You’re Losing, Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve, Hits Different, and The Great War it could’ve been perfect. Just more evidence that Aaron Dessner is by ... read more
This should’ve been album of the year, but even Taylor and Phoebe couldn’t save it.
I’m surprised by the negative reaction to this album. I thought it was good top to bottom, she stuck with the concept well, and she really showed a side of herself artistically that was pretty decent.
Great album. No flat moments, very ethereal and a good mixture of songs to make it cohesive, but not repetitive.
After seeing them at the Eras tour, I knew I wanted to listen to this album. Not surprised by any stretch that I liked it.
Literally never heard of this artist, but this is in contention for song of the year.
Great and solid Lana album, and loved the R&B influences. Some weird choices lyrically, per the usual with Lana. Front half was loaded with great songs, and started to slip toward the end, which again, has seemed like a recurring theme with Lana.
The album was all over the place and the production was messy, but Jaded was great and made me go from a 50 to a 70.
