This is incredible. The tension of the instrumental, Grian's vocals going from very big to almost cried whispers... I can't get enough of it.
I get the people complaining about the lack of variety, but I like to think of The Rope as a song they didn't release with the last album because it was so similar to Midas. Midas is an amazing song, so same goes for The Rope, and I'm glad they decided to release it! And the screams at the end are peak.
It may not be very innovative, but Death & Love, Pt. 1 is fun and very enjoyable
Fav. tracks: We Made It, Everything Changed, Bad Guys Always Win, American Dream, Blue Damselfly
Least fav. tracks: Le Bateau, Let's Leave Together (even though they are good)
glad to be on the only comment section of a song produced by dan reynolds where it's not full of people saying that his music is shit
