This is an album of two identities. On some tracks, Marshall delivers heartfelt verses about his family and his beefs with Benzino & Ja Rule. On others, Shady is spitting nonsensical potty humor filled tracks due to the Straight from the Lab leaks and his increased drug usage. Some of those songs can be fun, but when My First Single & Ass Like That are on the same album as Mockingbird & Like Toy Soldiers, You know something has gone terribly wrong...
Devil's Night is a great album with a weight holding it down. Swifty, Kuniva, Kon, Harry & Shady deliver hard verses throughout the the project. However, Bizzare's terrible and pointless shock value lyrics drag it down IMMENSELY. If there's one thing Steve Berman was right about, he was right about Bizzare...
