wow. Just wow. jvb pulls up with a Beastie Boy-influenced sound, releasing singles widely used on tiktok, getting themselves popular, then they release this album. Actually such a perfect album. It's fun, it's so energetic, combining meme references with enjoyable production. I've always loved their singles, and just this album alone is so strong. All tracks on here go hard, I could listen to this for the rest of my life. I think my favorite track is either Delinquent or RN.
now now i can see why people like this record but i just don't get it. i don't like the production, execution, delivery or anything about this album.
Horrid record. I only like the babymetal feature :3
aside from that, there's some straight dog ass on this album. don't like it, badly executed.
Very very nice record. the first half is loud, noisy, very fun. the second half is more melancholic, and i wish the 2nd half was longer, but the album doesn't overstay it's welcome. the second half alone is like..a 7-8, but the first half sets the tone.
can you tell im a depressed trans girl by looking at this? yes. anyway, this album is rly nice. the opener is very nice, and the way they execute each song is perfect. amazing record, i am still amazed.
I will begin by saying that this album, although great, is mostly driven by nostalgia for me. I love kendrick's story telling, he's good at it. However, despite that, the album to me is boring, and I prefer TPAB's more jazz-ish production. This is still a revolutionary album, just one I don't like.
I don't know what I'm listening to. I don't really like it either. I appreciate the ideas, but I don't like the execution one bit unfortunately.
If I am to be honest, I prefer the original 1989. I think I'll just chalk this one up to the lack of 1989's original producer. Still some good songs on here, though.
Unhinged, mentally insane, fucking crackhead production. Literally blew my mind listening to it, 6 minutes of silence???? Holy fuck. Siximpala is known for being..interesting, but this? They do what they want.
I really sat down at my desk, looking at this album come out with no warning. I put this off for a bit, seeing as this album didn't really appease me at first. JPEG and Danny are both insanely creative, with a masterpiece like Atrocity Exhibition from the latter, and amazing albums like AMHAC, LP! (Offline, of course) from the former. This album combines their styles in a way that is perfect, and it will stand as a pillar of hiphop for the times to come.
let me begin by saying this album is genuinely insane. creative, smooth, fun record. everything on this record is great, but i don't think i can give it a 90.
