my usual complaints about full length albums in kpop being ridiculously short nowadays aside. i want to like this so bad but i just don't. this is not the silly fresh bonedo i fell in love with... there were a couple songs i enjoyed but most of this album is either bland or just bad and it makes me really sad. i've been here since debut but this is now the second release in a row from them that i don't like </3 it's upsetting i miss their old sound

wow. tomboy has been one of my all time favorite songs for some years now so i was hesitant to listen to this in full because i was scared the rest wouldn’t come even close… i was so stupid. what a beautiful album. i love how cinematic it is like it almost feels like a soundtrack from some slightly tragic coming of age film… ohhyuk is such an incredibly writer i need to get into the rest of his and hyukoh’s stuff asap

last time they had an ep full of incredible bsides with a slightly lackluster title track (i love mamma mia. but a lot of people don’t which i get), this time they have their best title to date (a phenomenal song at that) but with somewhat lackluster bsides… oh the perfect album they would’ve had if metronome was the title for not just pretty. anyway i’m so glad they’re leaning more towards the disco synthpoppy sound it suits them so well

the good witch grew up and fell in love <3

exactly what you’d expect… why change the sound if it works! most of this was really bland though. sideways is one of the most gorgeous openers i’ve ever heard and my expectations were pretty high after it but only a few other songs moved me sadly. i love jack and i’ll always be a fan of his production and writing but especially on bleachers albums a lot of it just kind of starts sounding the same :/

their first actually good title track since cheshire came out in 2022 and it’s a great song at that!!! bside wise this like most of their releases in recent years is quite plain. they just really lack musical identity nowadays which is really obvious and makes most of their newer music either boring or just plain bad. none of the songs here were bad though which is definitely an upgrade from the previous ep!
