Oops!... I Did It Again by Britney Spears gets a 3/10. Overall, I didn't really enjoy this album. The production feels pretty sloppy at points and the songwriting is pretty underwhelming. I think there are a few decent tracks but overall it just feels like it drags on for way too long. Britney's vocals are also pretty meh on this one, she sounds pretty out of breath for most of the album.
...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears gets a 5/10. I was honestly surprised by how well this album has held up and I think it's aged like fine wine. It still has a lot of bops. The pop/r&b style was executed really well and there was a lot of solid songwriting throughout. I also genuinely like the vocal performance as well. My main problem is with the production and the various mixing decisions, it's just really muddy at times and quite inconsistent.
Spooky by Lush gets a 8/10. I really liked the overall dream pop and shoegaze influences throughout. There are many moments of great atmosphere and really engaging sonic landscapes. I particularly enjoyed the more melancholy vibes of the album and the vocals as well. It truly felt like a well fleshed out concept and I really enjoyed the songwriting, even if there were some parts which seemed a bit predictable or too safe.
The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd gets a 10/10. I think this is one of the most highly praised albums of all time for a reason. Every song is a masterpiece in its own right, and the album as a whole is a complete journey. The production quality is absolutely impeccable and the mix of progressive rock and psychedelic rock is executed beautifully. I also really enjoyed the concept and overall themes explored throughout, it truly feels like a classic that's aged like fine wine.
(A) Lust For Life by Girls gets a 7/10. I enjoyed the overall musicality. It felt like it seamlessly blended different elements of indie rock, shoegaze, and dream pop. I loved the way the vocals were incorporated throughout and I genuinely thought the song was pretty catchy. I think the production was solid and it felt nicely cohesive. However, it felt like it didn't do anything really all that unique or memorable either, it was simply solid, which means it loses a few points.
