It’s been almost a month since my last review, and I kept asking myself what project could possibly feel worthy enough for my return. After countless releases over the past few weeks, I kept hearing major outlets praise Genesis Owusu’s newest album, so I finally decided to dive in (and what an experience it turned out to be). From the very first track to the last, the album is absolutely mesmerizing. Owusu delivers jaw-dropping bars one after another, paired with production ... read more
The debut album from Singaporean artist Nat Ćmiel offers a compelling mix of art and glitch pop, driven by evocative lyrics and seamless transitions that draw the listener in from the outset. Although the record leans into darker themes to deepen its conceptual world, it struggles with consistency. The midsection feels diluted and less focused, though it recovers toward the closing tracks. Despite its flaws, it remains a worthwhile and intriguing listen.

A bold celebration of Southern rap and the Dirty South, Pusha T and Malice deliver what could easily be the best hip-hop album of 2025. An energetic, noisy, and highly stimulating experience, NIN once again succeeds in delivering a compelling set of remixes that push their sound well beyond the original material. Whether it surpasses the original depends largely on one’s preference for live versus studio recordings. For me, it borders on overwhelming, though I have no doubt it would be astonishing in a live setting.
