The first two lines are so good, The lyrics are honest and easy to understand. Instead of using complicated words or deep metaphors, they speak clearly—and sometimes, they even become a safe place for people to relate to their own experiences, the melody is great and those bass lines gets me everytime. (damn why is it so overhated, i mean just look at the rating bruh)

Although there isn't much new here, Jar of Flies may be the best way to prove that the grunge-metal hybrid that Alice in Chains have created is one of the best hybrids ever made.
