Album-A-Day 2023

I never thought I would live to see the day where Lil Yachty dropped a project this fucking great, but I'm glad I did.
The Hardest Cut is the hardest cut on this record js
It's insane how much this record has grown on me in a week, it went from a 78 to a 97, and is totally deserving of it, this thing is absolutely incredible :D
Edit: Held is better than hardest cut tbh
God this album is so fucking good, I just revisited it today and it just absolutely amazes me how good every single track on here is. Layne was a one-of-a-kind talent backed up by one of the best bands of the 90s. Fantastic stuff.

-Sematary, 2023
This shit goes hard. If you haven't been into Sematary in the past, this isn't going to convince you by any means, but I think this is a really interesting moment for him because although yes, admittedly his style is pretty straightforward, I think this project is a point of artistic growth in at least some way, with the production on this album still being loud, aggressive, blown out, and abrasive as fuck but also being a ... read more
Album-A-Day 2023

Yea, I just do not like this. I just cannot find a single thing on this record that I find engaging or interesting, and honestly even as I'm writing this 2 minutes after finishing the album, I genuinely am having a hard time recalling anything I just listened to. It kinda just sounds like a bunch of half-baked The Garden songs, but if you removed the only redeeming qualities of the majority of The Garden's stuff such as the fun drums or upbeat guitars. Yikes.
This was pretty good! I really liked this tbh, I was completely unfamiliar with Margo Price before this album and was very pleasantly surprised. A few of the songs on here don't do a ton for me, but there is definitely nothing bad on here, and there are some tracks like Been To The Mountain, Light Me Up, and Anytime You Call that I could see myself genuinely coming back to all year. For the first album of 2023 that I've heard, I'd say this is a pretty solid start to the year.
I just listened to this for the first time today. I don't even know how to describe how amazing this is to me. Off the rip this is just a fuckin 10/10, honestly in my top 5 all time I don't even need to think twice this is absolutely unbelievable
Deftones Binge #9 (Final)
Yea, Melon was way off with this one. After finally having heard every Deftones album, I think Ohms is a great testament to the band's overall sound. There's a little bit of everything on this record, and I really appreciate it for being the career slideshow that it is. The choruses on here pop incredibly well and the instrumentation is as fantastic as ever, and 9 albums into their career they're still coming through with S-Tier songs in their discography with tracks ... read more
